Cosmetic dentistry can basically be described as dental treatments intended to improve the appearance of a patient, rather than to treat a medical necessity. Sometimes, modern cosmetic dental treatments are used in conjunction with restorative treatments to deliver an appealing finished appearance to needed procedures. With the skills of a qualified cosmetic dentist implementing one or more types of cosmetic dental treatments, patients can have beautiful details in their smiles enhanced, or perhaps obtain an entire smile makeover. While some of these image enhancements may not be considered medically necessary, they can still be vital to one’s overall wellbeing, due to increased confidence and improved self-esteem.
