Taking a holistic approach to dentistry ensures the best oral health and overall wellness for patients.
A patients’ dental health can have a substantial impact on their overall wellness. They can unknowingly expose their bodies to dangerous toxins such as mercury. Therefore Mercury Tri-Test and the Blood Metals Panel help them learn more about their exposure to dangerous toxins.
The Mercury Tri-test
This is the only clinical test that utilizes the patented mercury speciation analysis. The advanced technology designed by Quicksilver Scientific utilises instruments so sensitive that they can measure the two main types of mercury ( methyl mercury and inorganic mercury ) separately and also measure ambient mercury level without the need to use a chelating agent. The information gathered gives unprecedented information on body burden, exposure sources, and excretion ability. This detailed information will then allow for a clear and rational approach to successful detoxification.
Mercury has been linked to many illnesses and diseases, including:
- Chronic fatigue
- Heart disease
- Decreased immunity
We can help patients minimize their exposure to the mercury from amalgam fillings by removing them using a safe and established process. Then with the information on body burden and the ability of the body to excrete the different types of mercury, detoxification products can be prescribed for effective and permanent elimination from the body and more importantly the brain.
The Blood Metals Panel
This test provides an analysis of a wide range of other metals such as Copper, Calcium, Magnesium, Lithium, Molybdenum, Manganese, Zinc, Selenium, and Lead.
Some metals are toxic, and some are beneficial. Imbalances of mineral pairs is an important piece of information e.g. copper / zinc ratio can give heavy metal toxicity symptoms. Some good metals can also pair up and become toxic e.g. copper & cadmium.
How does the testing process work?
This simply involves taking samples of blood, hair, and urine and these are sent to Quicksilver laboratories in the US for testing. The results will be available in approximately three weeks.
Your dentist can give you more information about testing for mercury toxicity, as well as other potentially toxic elements, and detoxification programs.
