Considering cosmetic dental procedures to improve the appearance of the smile can be overwhelming. There are many different treatments to choose from and you may not know which ones are right for your situation. One of the most important aspects of cosmetic dentistry is the consultation process. During this initial appointment, you have the opportunity to share your concerns and receive a complete evaluation from Dr. Tong. Once this is complete, she will be able to recommend the most cost-effective and appropriate solutions to address your needs.
If you are looking for a little more information before arriving for your consultation, Dr. Tong offers the following reviews of the most common cosmetic dentistry procedures.
It’s no secret that straight teeth are one of the benchmarks for a beautiful smile. Invisalign offers patients the chance to address alignment issues with clear aligner trays versus the metal brackets and wires of traditional braces.
Cracks, chips, gaps, and discoloration are common problems that drive patients to seek cosmetic dentistry. Veneers are versatile because they can address all of these issues. The thin shells of porcelain are adhered to the front of a single tooth or an entire arch of teeth to enhance the smile.
Missing teeth create issues with both functionality and appearance. Denture technology has come a long way and allows a cost-effective way to restore the smile. Patients who don’t address missing teeth face further issues down the line including the loss of bone and additional teeth. Dentures can help restore oral health and improve the beauty of the smile.
Perhaps one of the most sought after treatments, tooth whitening is amazing at producing show-stopping results quickly. While there are many over-the-counter methods, it is important to understand that these systems may only remove minor stains and will not brighten teeth beyond their natural shade. Professional strength whitening can create results that are unmatched by over-the-counter alternatives. We offer both in-office and at-home solutions to fit the needs of all of our patients.
